Heidi

Readers who enjoyed my first post - I am sorry for hiding all these days.

Readers who didn't - I am sorry I am back.

A dear friend of mine asked me to post my poetry and songs here. I was a bit reluctant in the beginning since I'm not a blogger but then I realised people now prefer reading blogs on screen to columns on paper.

Without moving away from today's agenda I will introduce you to Heidi.

Few months back I went to a party at a friend's place. That friend had invited another friend who walked in with his wife and his 3 year old daughter - Heidi. I believe everybody at the party fell in love with her. Only I came up with this one. Sorry I forgot to take her picture. Told you I don't think and act like a blogger.

In this party

you look for a corner

you look for a welcoming floor

You sure stepped into hearts

as you walked through the main door

Heidi! Oh Heidi!

Your yellow jacket and you

Oh Heidi!

You hop around

your shoes make that thoughtful sound

I watch you play a game that's pricey

Oh Heidi!

Heidi you gleam like a ray of light

you dance and you feel alright

you sing like a bird tonight

Oh Heidi!

Eyes full of anxiety

Oh Heidi!

Heidi the sky opens its arms

there are balloons, streets and farms

steely ways and sweaty palms

Oh Heidi!

You move your smile around

like a treasure finally found

you go round and round

Oh Heidi!

Keep the faith alive I say

there's a desert around a bay

Heidi finds her way

Oh Heidi!

sweet!!!!
you know why everyone can't write like you chat?....coz everyone can't feel as strongly about things the way you do....

your sensitivity to the world around you is so heightened that....well...the outcome is here for all to see
